Enjoy your dancing.Great fundamentals make you a favourite on the dancefloor. \nThese monthly sessions are designed for dancers who have attended a few Modern Jive classes and already have a basic understanding of the dance\, but want to move beyond just getting by and start dancing with more confidence\, comfort and consistency. \nEach month we’ll focus on one specific element of Modern Jive\, allowing us to slow things down\, explore the detail\, and really understand how that element improves your overall dancing. \nThrough using a combination of new and familiar moves\, these sessions are about helping your dancing feel clearer\, and more enjoyable for both you and your partner. \n🌟 What these sessions are about\nThese classes are designed to:\n• Take you from feeling okay to feeling confident• Help good dancers become more comfortable and consistent• Turn solid dancing into something that feels effortless and enjoyable \nStrong fundamentals create relaxed\, connected dancing — and dancers who feel comfortable to dance with are naturally asked back onto the dancefloor more often. \n🎯 Monthly focus areas may include:\n• Footwork\, the rules and when to break them• Connection & lead/follow clarity• Timing & musicality• Floor-craft & awareness• Comfortable turns & movement \nEach session stands alone\, so you can attend one or join regularly to continue developing your dancing over time. \n💕 This class is ideal if you:\n✔️ Have been attending classes and want to improve more quickly✔️ Sometimes feel unsure why something doesn’t quite work✔️ Want your dancing to feel effortless and more relaxed✔️ Would like to feel more confident — and more in demand — on the social dancefloor \n✨ What to expect\n• Friendly\, supportive teaching• Clear explanations with practical takeaways• A relaxed atmosphere with no pressure to perform• Skills you can use immediately in social dancing \n👫 Booking & Balance Information\nTo create the best learning experience for everyone\, these sessions work best with a balanced number of leaders and followers. \nWe therefore encourage dancers to book as a balanced pair (one leader and one follower booking together).You do not need to attend as a fixed couple — this is simply about balancing roles on the dancefloor. \nSolo bookings are very welcome and will be placed on a waiting list\, then confirmed as soon as a complementary role books in. \nNo ‘on the door places’. DESCRIPTION: Beginners (L1) Modern Jive Workshop \n \nBrand new to Modern Jive?In your first few weeks and wishing you could pick things up a little quicker?\nHave a few beginners moves under your belt but would like to learn a few more?Or been dancing a little while but some elements just don’t feel quite right?This workshop is designed just for you!\n \nDate: Sunday 7th June 2026Time: 2.00pm – 5pm Venue: Samuel Wickens Centre\, Broadmark Parade\, Rustington\, BN16 2NW\nPrice £12pp\n \n What We’ll Cover\nWe’ll focus on the core building blocks of Modern Jive; clear and effective lead and follow\, connection\, posture\, footwork patterns\, spins and turns.\nThis will all be taught through a selection of essential Modern Jive moves that will give you confidence on the dancefloor.\nFor those who’ve been dancing a little longer\, this is the ideal consolidation before taking the leap into Improver Workshops (L2) or Intermediate Classes! \n \n The Goal\nBy the end of the afternoon you’ll be dancing short routines with safe\, stylish technique to a variety of music. If you’re newer\, you’ll feel more confident with the basics. If you’ve got a little more experience\, you may even feel ready to give our Improver Workshop (L2) a go!\n \n Limited Spaces\nTo make sure everyone gets the best learning experience\, spaces are limited and all places must be booked in advance.
