Who is ‘Dance with Stacey’
Dance with Stacey began in Worthing in 2018 with a simple aim – to provide professionally taught Modern Jive in a friendly, relaxed environment where people could enjoy learning to dance and feel part of something too.
Originally known as StaceyModernJive, we started with regular Leroc classes in Worthing alongside larger freestyle events at Worthing Assembly Hall.

In 2023, Dance with Stacey took another big step when Stacey was invited to take over the long-established Just Jive classes in Bognor Regis following the retirement of teacher Paul Witheyman.
Since then, we’ve continued to grow. Today you’ll find Dance with Stacey running daytime and evening classes, freestyles, workshops, social events and more across Worthing, Bognor Regis and surrounding areas of West Sussex.
We’ve grown over the years, but what matters to us hasn’t really changed – good teaching, friendly dancing and making people feel welcome from the moment they walk through the door.
Meet Stacey

My own dance story started with Ballroom and Latin in my twenties. I loved dancing, but always found the need to have a regular partner quite limiting.
Then, in 2006, I discovered Modern Jive.
I loved the freedom of social dancing, the fact that you could arrive on your own and, most importantly, just how much fun it was. I was hooked!
Over the years I attended classes, workshops and events, learning from some of the country’s leading Modern Jive teachers before qualifying as a Leroc Modern Jive teacher myself in 2016.

Since then, teaching has taken me much further than I ever imagined. I’ve taught at larger Modern Jive events and weekenders, passed the Leroc Federation Higher Level examination, become a recommended Teacher Trainer and had the privilege of judging at the International Modern Jive Championships.
But for me, good teaching isn’t about making dancing complicated or showing people how much I know. It’s about using that experience to make dancing easier to understand, enjoyable to learn and something you look forward to coming back to.
That’s still what I love most about teaching.
Whether you’re taking your very first steps or you’ve been dancing for years, I hope you’ll find Dance with Stacey somewhere you can learn, relax, meet people and simply enjoy dancing.
You never know where those first few steps might take you!
Stacey 🙂

Meet The ‘Dance with Stacey’ Team
Dance with Stacey might have my name above the door, but I certainly don’t do it all on my own!
Our crew are an important part of making our classes and events feel friendly and welcoming. They’re often some of the first faces you’ll see when you arrive and are there to help, answer questions and support you while you find your feet.
Our team includes experienced dancers who genuinely enjoy being part of Dance with Stacey, and everyone receives ongoing guidance and training so that we can give you a consistent, supportive experience.
So if you’re coming along for the first time, don’t worry about knowing anyone – there will always be a friendly face ready to welcome you.

DANCING THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE
Since Dance with Stacey began, our own freestyle events have raised over £7,000 for charity, alongside further support through raffles, donations and community events.
Great nights of dancing that have helped some very worthwhile causes along the way.
