Who Is This Workshop For?

This Improvers (Level 2) workshop is designed for dancers who:

• Are confident with core beginner moves and timing

• Have a basic understanding of lead & follow

• Want to build fluency, confidence, and creativity on the dancefloor

If you’ve completed our L1 workshop or have equivalent experience from classes, this level will suit you perfectly.

What We’ll Cover

We’ll build directly on the foundations learned at Level 1 and focus on what comes next.

You’ll learn how to:

• Adapt and develop familiar moves quickly and easily

• Create multiple variations from the same starting position

• Link moves smoothly to expand your repertoire without memorising long routines

• Improve flow, musicality, and confidence

• Refine lead & follow to make dancing feel lighter, clearer, and more enjoyable

Teaching will be structured, practical, and partner-focused, with clear explanations of why things work—not just what to do.

The Goal

By the end of the workshop you’ll:

• Have a wider range of usable Modern Jive moves

• Feel more confident adapting and improvising on the dancefloor

• Dance with greater ease, connection, and flow

• Be well prepared for Intermediate classes and workshops

Most importantly, you’ll leave feeling empowered to make your dancing your own.

On the Day

• On-site car park provides 3 hours free parking, so timings have been planned accordingly

• Doors open at 2.00pm

• Teaching starts at 2.15pm

• Teaching finishes at 4.45pm

• Doors close at 5.00pm

Short breaks included, with tea, coffee, and soft drinks provided
Feel free to bring a light snack to keep your energy up

What to Wear & Bring

• Comfortable clothing (layers recommended!)

• Comfortable dance-friendly shoes (no rubber soles or stilettos please)

• Minimal jewellery for safety
