FLAPJACK FRIDAYS

It’s All About the Music. It’s All About the Dancing.

A familiar Friday night freestyle. A fresh new identity!

We’re giving the long-running monthly freestyles at Davison High School, East Worthing, a new name, a new format and an exciting musical twist.

Great music. A buzzing dancefloor. Fabulous people.

Everything you love about a Friday night freestyle, with something a little different!

A Freestyle with a Musical Difference

Let the Music Take You Somewhere Different!

Familiar, feel-good Modern Jive favourites set the scene from the start.

From 9.30pm, we’ll start to gradually weave in more expressive, unusual and challenging tracks, with touches of Tango and Smooth Jive influence, while keeping plenty of familiar favourites in the mix.

A musical journey designed to inspire your dancing!

Why Flapjack Fridays?

A Little Nostalgia. A Very Special Tradition.

When I first started dancing, Friday nights were spent at the King Alfred in Hove.

We’d dance for hours, stopping at 11pm for tea, coffee and Julian’s legendary homemade flapjacks before dancing on until midnight!

Those evenings remain some of my fondest dancing memories.

Flapjack Fridays is my little nod to Julian and those wonderful Friday nights.

The 9.30pm Tradition

9.30pm — It’s Flapjack Time!

Tea and coffee are available throughout the evening, but at 9.30pm there’s something extra to look forward to!

Out come the deliciously homemade flapjacks, just as our music begins to take a more adventurous direction.

A chance to chat, recharge or grab a treat and head straight back onto the dancefloor.

The music doesn’t stop — and neither does the dancing!

The Essentials

Your Friday Night, Sorted!

No themes. No fuss. No distractions.

Just a whole evening dedicated to what we all love — DANCING!

Great Music. Inspired Dancing. Proper Flapjacks.
